Hi all,
This is my first of what hopefully will be many reviews of my experiences and progression in blogging. I have been, as some returning readers may know, only blogging for a short while now. About five days to be exact. So it is not my intention to exalt or disparage the art of the blog. No. Instead I intend to unwind my current progress with some thoughts on my experiences thus far.
Without further ado; I have attempted to maintain a stream posts that I had hoped would interest my intended audience. This is what I have been focused on, for the most part. I have tried to approach each and every post, besides the odd news update or club Nintendo automated share, with a mind for heartfelt writing. I have wanted to only post what I believe could both interest me, the writer, and you the reader. Who, you may ask, am I targeting? Well, first and most importantly gamers--of all shades, of all sizes, of all genders. Those interested in analyzing ( to a reasonable, leisure time degree) the merits of Ubisoft's approach in handling their monumental gaming franchises--such as Assassin's Creed.
Secondly, I would have to include anyone interested in an honest take--in a sometimes odd/different manner--on gaming related subjects. An honest take that in some cases can and will encroach upon areas other than video games; areas that would naturally overlap or be connected in some way, shape or form to video games, of course. What this means is that I believe what I write can interest the most casual of gamer, as I attempt to introduce a sense of curiosity and ambiguity when I write. Not wanting to solely be committed to one-side of an argument, I follow my gaming/entertainment/industry interests with a meandering wind that can only reach its conclusion based on what my earnest-want-to investigation/or interest into it can-- on that occasion--arrive upon.
I attempt to look at something that I find interesting and will be relative. After that the sky is the limit for how I dive in to the piece I write and where It(I) reach the shore and end it. I decided to start writing a blog after believing I had something to say, and I think I do. But, what I think also played a role, is the journey I hope to experience from post to post. I want to improve my penmanship and style. I want to, along the way,--hopefully-- give others who read and think about what I write any kind of experience/help/info--whatever--I can.
Overall, it feels as though my first few posts have gone by quickly and I feel like I have a bit more in me. I hope to improve at this. I hope to provide more reviews and thought pieces that I find engaging and hope you will as well. I feel varying degrees of confidence in my blog--and it has only been a few short days. I am still feeling out the process of choosing what topics to write about and/or games to review--not to mention figuring out how to incorporate as much information/opinion as I feel is necessary and important, to provide readers with my perspective of what either makes the game good or bad.
*Thanks for reading. I hope to have more posts up soon. Any thoughts, tips or concerns let me know.
